Team Racing Engines and Dyno Services is part of the Team Performance Group, Inc., which also includes Team Performance Products, Inc. and Team Racing Enterprises and Restoration. The creation of Tom Nelson and Eric Rycus, both successful businessmen and performance enthusiasts, Team Racing Engines and Dyno Services was formed to support the other Team businesses, as well as provide a highly reliable, reputable source for performance street and racing engines. To this end, Team Performance Group formed a strategic alliance with Auto Marine Machine of Carson City, Nevada. This fully-equipped, well-staffed shop is run by none other than Ernie Cross, a performance veteran who has worked for Cole Boats, Performance Automotive Warehouse, Paxton Superchargers and Vortech Superchargers, as well as built engines for Ken Duttweiler of Duttweiler Performance. It was in places like this where Cross became a master of forced induction and electronic fuel injection, adding to an already strong background of automotive machine work and engine assembly. Team offers both custom-built engines and dyno-proven big and small block combinations that are ready to drop in your car—just add a carburetor, water pump and ignition, and you’re ready to go. We pride ourselves in building our engines one-at-a-time in an honest-to-gosh engine “clean room”, then dyno testing them on a state-of-the-art DTS dyno in a custom-built dyno cell. We know how much each combination should make—and if it doesn’t produce the number, it doesn’t go out the door. Period. We leverage our experiences with machine work and time-honored assembly practices to build high-horsepower engines using off-the-shelf parts—a savings which we pass on to you. Of course, we can also build a custom normally aspirated engine, a supercharged engine or a single/twin turbocharged engine with EFI to your specifications.
